It was meant to be a casual cardfight, though Kuri would admit that her new-found friend had found another challenger who was willing to have a match with her.

She haven't heard of Shion that much, but she did witness his loss during the regionals thanks to Shouma's desire for victory even if it meant attacking the blonde psychologically. Being exposed to an awful childhood made her realize that everyone had a dark side, and Kuri was, unfortunately, included in the list of people who have inner demons. Team Demise was just full of people who would drag others down, and she chose to go on on her own with her own agenda, even if she was on the same environment as that team in the United Sanctuary branch.
