She supposed to meet someone but suddenly it got cancelled. So she decided to go here and watch kids playing vanguard.

Kuri sighed as she looked at the torn letter, the proof that she was invited to take on advance creative writing courses for the upcoming summer workshop. No doubt that her parents TOTALLY opposed on her decision to join in and they wold stop her no matter what, even without letting her discuss.

Tch... How disrespectful of them. I already told them numerous time that this was truly what I wanted and yet they just wouldn't listen to me.

Frankly, it did piss her off, that's why she went outside for a walk to the square so that she would let her mind drift away from the situation.

She was watching a fight by some kids at the area. It was Kagerou vs Genesis.

"I ride Minerva!" The little girl said as she top the Grade 3 Genesis card above Battle Maiden, Izunahime.

"Aww she wasn't able to draw Angelica~~!" Kanrei murmured.

As a Genesis player herself, she knows how advantage would it be if the little girl was able to break ride.

The Gold Paladin user decided to watch a pair of teenagers nearby, cardfighting on an occupied playmat table. Thankfully, it was something that was interesting, as one of them was using the same clan as hers except that the stranger was using the Ezel build. His opponent was using Link Joker, focusing on Glendios.

"I call Star-vader, Cold Death Dragon, and I activate its skill to force you to call an RG on the field from the top card of your deck. And then, I activate Glendios' Limit Break for the Omega Lock," the Link Joker user declared. His foe was now at 4 damage, and sadly all of his rear-guards are Omega Locked.

But she had already predicted the outcome, and with a frown, she left them alone without a word.

That Glendios player was such a naive kid. He had failed to realize that Ezel Scissors would ruin his chances for World End.

The Kagerou player was grinning as he raised his hand, holding unto the card he just draw and placed it on top of Dauntless Drive Dragon.

"Break ride!!! Transcendence Dragon, Dragonic Nouvelle Vague!!!!" The boy exclaimed.

"Aaaaa~!!! Beruberu~!!!" The Aqua Force user shouted when she saw the G4 Kagerou unit, too loud that she got the attention of most people in the area.

Kuri was back to wandering around until she heard that voice. She immediately approached the source, and she could take notice of the poor Genesis user who was about to have her fate sealed. She then looked at the reason why: it was none other than the first Kagero Grade 4 unit. More importantly, she glanced at the details, including the damage zone as well as the number of cards in both players' hands, though she couldn't look at what's in there.

It's possible that he would have another copy of Nouvelle Vague for the Persona Blast requirement for the Limit Break. If yes, then the formation would be ruined. On the other hand, the girl has more cards in hand than her opponent's, so she would have at least one perfect guard to block the attack completely. However, the chances of having to replenish the units during her next turn would be slim, so she had to be careful.

She apologized on the ruckus she just made to the players and her surroundings. That's when her eyes met someone with the same color as hers. She gave a quick sheepishly smile and moved to different spot and sat on the bench nearby as she covers her face from embarrassment.

"~~~~!!! I was carried by the imeeji(image) I saw during those kids' fight..."

At the sight of the girl with the same hair and eye color, the one who was now retreating to the nearby bench with the embarrassed flush coloring her cheeks, that's when she smiled back. Normally, she would just shrug it off and walk away, but the funny sight did lift her mood.

"Can't blame you. Even I would imagine it, especially on the possible change of outcome."

"A... umm.. Hello...?"

She sheepishly smiled and greeted.

"She saw it~!!"

Kuri noticed that the girl was still flustered, but she didn't mind. She chuckled.

"We're almost like siblings because of the identical hair and eye color."

She's again surprised that the stranger is casually talking to her and wouldn't mind it either.

"Ahaha, black hairs are common." She giggled.

"I'm Kanrei. Nice to meet you."

At the introduction, Kuri replied by stating her name.

"Nice meeting you, Kanrei. I'm Kurisuchin. You can call me Kuri, though. And I noticed that familiar insignia on your headband. It's related to Aqua Force, right?"

She was startled on the question but answered it anyway.

"A... y-yes!" She nodded three times. "I main Aqua Force."

The raven-haired female smiled again.

"I see. I'm using Gold Paladin though."

Kuri sighed. "Yes. And to reassure myself that this is no big deal. That way, I won't have to feel bad about my current problem right now."

She gripped the torn letter tightly as if it was a bug to be squashed.

Actually, THAT was a huge deal for me.

She could sense that something's big was giving the the GP fighter pressure but Kanrei decided not to ask about it. She don't like prying and it would be a sensitive topic to be discussed with a person who she just met.

"Hope everything will be fine." She smiled.

Normally, Kuri would want to keep most to herself. Having her ideas and opinions disregarded by her parents constantly taught her never to reveal her real self to just anyone, especially when the end result was being judged, criticized and mocked just because of being different from what the society would expect. She would only trust those who still considered her a friend even when her past was a dark one.

But Kanrei was not much of a bad person, so she wouldn't mind opening up a bit.

"Yeah, I hope so."
